Next week, we’re publishing FEED, the fifth issue of Kernel Magazine, Reboot’s print publication. This issue was an absolute joy to make, and I’m very excited to see it out in the world. In FEED you’ll find everything from a personal essay about the techno-ecological joy of working at a factory that produces sealed crustless sandwiches to an interview with an entomologist using computer vision to help determine the sex of black soldier fly larvae to a set of experimental cocktails.
It’s a cornucopia of stories grappling with the multifaceted meanings of feeds within our technological society, and I can’t wait for you all to dig in.

Every issue of Kernel is a labor of love, and I especially want to highlight the efforts of our core editorial team: Shira Abramovich, who was an invaluable help in shaping the editorial vision of the essays and interviews in the issue, Hannah Scott, who once again curated an incredible set of creative writing and experimental works, and Connie Liu and Tiny Lei, who designed and laid out this entire magazine with curiosity and wit. We’re all so excited to share this issue with you.
